Lehigh County Boy Scout leader charged with sex assault ALLENTOWN, Pa. The Lehigh County District Attorney Office on Thursday filed charges against Stephen Piller with a nike baseball single felony count of involuntary deviate nike air max b sexual intercourse and five misdemeanor counts of indecent assault. The district attorney office began its investigation in March after receiving information from the county office of children and youth about a possible child sex assault in the Catasauqua area. Investigators said the first victim met Piller when he joined the scouts. The boy was 12 years old. Piller allegedly made sexual advances toward the boy about two years after meeting him. The assaults allegedly took place at both locations for about three years. The second victim met Piller through the Boy Scouts when he was 14 years old, when Piller was head scoutmaster. He also accused of sexually assaulting the teen at Camp Trexler. The assaults occurred over a three year period. Investigators allege Piller also sexually assaulted the third victim at his home and Camp Trexler. The district attorney office did not specify the boy age or how long the alleged abuse occurred expect to say "over mulitiple years." The Monroe County District Attorney Office has reportedly agreed to prosecute all charges in Lehigh County. Craig Poland, scout executive with the Minsi Trails Council Boy Scouts of America, issued a statement Thursday about Piller arrest. "The behavior included in nike quarter zip these allegations is abhorrent and runs counter to everything for which the Boy Scouts of America stands," Poland said in a prepared statement. "Upon learning of the allegation, we took immediate action to preclude this individual from any further participation in the Scouting program." The safety of our youth members is of paramount importance and we seek to prevent child abuse through a comprehensive program of education on the subject, the chartered organization leader selection process, criminal background and other checks, policies and procedures to serve as barriers to abuse and the prompt mandatory reporting of any allegations of suspicion of abuse," Poland said. The Minsi Trails Council is "cooperating fully" with investigators, he said. Poland declined to indicate how long Piller had been involved with the Minsi Trails Council or when the council ended his association. He directed any further questions to the district attorney office.
