Apparel company says Nike infringes Milkcrate mark NEW YORK (Reuters) A lawsuit filed on Thursday accused a line of Nike Inc sneakers affiliated with pro basketball star LeBron James of being similar to sneakers produced by streetwear maker Milkcrate Athletics Inc. The Nike footwear uses the words crate and designs based nike c width on milk crate grids that could confusion and deceive customers and dilute the value of Milkcrate trademark, said a lawsuit filed by Milkcrate in Manhattan federal court. Nike, the world largest athletic shoe and apparel maker, uses milk nike free run crate designs on its Nike Zoom LeBron V sneakers and other nike golf shirts products, said the lawsuit. The lawsuit, which alleges trademark infringement, seeks unspecified damages and asks that Nike be ordered to recall all products using the milk crate term.
